Teaching & Workshops

Spaces where people can think differently.

I teach courses that ask uncomfortable questions. Not because discomfort is the point, but because the questions themselves are uncomfortable, and pretending otherwise does nobody any good.

My classroom is a space where theology meets real-world contexts. Genuine encounter across difference inevitably creates dissonance. It is within that very friction that transformative learning occurs. I bring diverse materials: case studies from ecumenical settings, biblical narratives read through multiple hermeneutical lenses, contemporary social justice movements. Students engage scholarship while developing the critical consciousness to honor their own life experiences, communities, and encounters.

I have taught across institutions and formats: semester-long courses at Emmanuel College, intensive workshops for the Canadian Council of Churches, and keynote addresses for organizations working at the intersection of faith and justice.
